Ojukheon House

Ojukheon House is located in Gangneung City, Gangwon Province. It was built around 1570 and is a representative historical site in Gangneung, known for being the former residence of the renowned scholar Yi I (1546-1584) of the Joseon Dynasty. It has been designated as National Treasure No. 165 of South Korea. Yi I was an important thinker, philosopher, and educator during the Joseon Dynasty, exerting a profound influence on the culture of the Korean Peninsula.

This building not only holds significant historical value and rich cultural heritage but also showcases the architectural style and technical features of the Joseon era. As a national cultural heritage of South Korea, Ojukheon House attracts numerous tourists and scholars for visits and studies.
