Sopjikogi is located at the easternmost tip of Jeju Island. "Sopji" is the ancient name of this area, and "koji" in the Jeju dialect means a terrain that protrudes outward. The entire area is composed of black volcanic rocks and red volcanic soil, and the rocks along the coast are strangely shaped. The back of the cliff is covered with a wide grassland, and not a single tree can be seen.
High up on the cliff stands a white lighthouse, and on the way to it, there are stone walls to protect against the wind. On the other side of the stone wall lies a rape field. Every April, you will see a vibrant yellow scene full of vitality. There are steps on the lighthouse, and it is very easy to climb. Standing by the railing, the scenery of the coast can be seen at a glance. On the open and gentle slopes, there are stone-structured beacon towers (about 4 meters high and 9 meters on each side), which still retain their original appearance.
