Day 1   Seoul Arrival

Welcome to Seoul, the first-largest city in South Korea, which is rich in history and vibrant with energy. It is both young and old, a cosmopolitan city where traditional Korean culture and modern pop culture are perfectly blended. From the modern city skyline to the ancient villages and Buddhist temples, from the bustling and lively city center to the quiet and elegant cultural relics, walking through this city will give you a sense of time traveling pleasure.

Day 2  Cultural landmarks of Seoul: Historical relics hidden in the bustling modern metropolis.

After a comfortable night's rest at the hotel, let's set out with the sun and embark on a day tour of the essence of Seoul, with your professional and knowledgeable guide at your service throughout.

 

Unveil the magnificence of Gyeongbokgung Palace built in 1395, which was the royal palace of the last unified dynasty of the Korean Peninsula. Visit the National Folk Museum of Korea for an engaging look into Korea's rich history and culture through its interactive exhibits.

Engage in an enchanting Hanbok wearing experience, and feel the elegance and charm of the Korean people's centuries-old traditional attire.

Take a short break after lunch, we visit Changdeokgung Palace first, which is another royal palace of the Joseon Dynasty, built in subsequent years after Gyeongbokgung Palace. Changgyeonggung is located right next to Changdeokgung Palace. After visiting Changdeokgung Palace, you can easily stop by and take a look.

Then head to iconic Kwangjang Market to soak up the vibrant atmosphere of daily life and delicious food of Seoul.

 

Tips:

1. Among the five palaces in Seoul, Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace are the largest in scale, and have the most exquisite architectures, and the latter was listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1997. The other three royal palaces have the same architectural style as them, but are smaller in scale.

2. If we arrive in Seoul early in the afternoon or evening, we can visit Insadong or Kwangjang Market first.

3. The five palaces and Insadong, Kwangjang Market are all located in the central area of Seoul, not far from each other.

 

DAY 3  Seoul Landmarks: N Seoul Tower and Lotte World Tower.

After visiting the ancient royal palaces of Korea, Today we will see the modern international metropolis landscape of South Korea.

In the morning, we go to Namsangol Hanok Village first. Here, the traditional Korean houses of various social classes from the Joseon era are showcased, making it the best place to experience Hanok culture in a quick and accurate way. It's not just a Hanok exhibition here, various interesting events are also held.

After learning about traditional Korean folk architecture, take a cable car to the top of N Seoul Tower and enjoy a panoramic view of the bustling metropolis from the summit.

 

Delve into the bustling urban charm of Seoul's Gangnam District,  venture to COEX, the largest underground shopping mall in Asia, where you can shop for trendy fashion and unique souvenirs. Don't miss the impressive Starfield Library, a perfect spot for a quick photo op. Next, visit iconic BTS locations, such as the HYBE building, and take in the sights of popular K-drama filming spots around the area, immersing yourself in the world of your favorite shows.

 

Then, it would be interesting to change to a higher point to enjoy the magnificent panoramic view of the city. So, let's go to Lotte World Theme Park, which is not far away. You can purchase additional tickets to ride the elevator to the observatory on the top floor of Lotte World Tower, which is the tallest building in Korea (555 meters), offering a 360-degree panoramic view of the city, of course, including N Seoul Tower.

Day 4  Cultural Highlights of Suwon and Yongin.

Today, continue your family journey to Suwon and Yongin, delving deeper into the rich history and culture of Korea.

Yongin Folk Village is needed to be savored slowly, it has over 240 traditional buildings, where time stands still and the human landscape and regional atmosphere of the Korean Peninsula over 500 years ago are recreated.

Suwon Hwaseong is an ancient fortress with an area of 130 hectares, its unique building layout pattern even cant find in China and Japan, with both military defense and commercial functions, and is considered a model of Eastern fortress. It was designated as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1997.

Suwon City and Yongin City are not far from Seoul, approximately 50 kilometers away, which is equivalent to the suburbs of Seoul, so you don't have to worry about being in a hurry.

 

Day 5  Seoul to GyeongjuAn Open-air Museum.

As we journey from Seoul to Gyeongju, let's embrace a new day of enchanting discoveries. Over the next two days, we will visit two more of Korea's World Cultural Heritage sites, Tongdosa Temple and the tombs of the Korean kings.

By hopping onto the sleek KTX, Korea's high-speed train service, you'll quickly glide into the ancient city of Gyeongju.

 

The city's regal past awaits at Daereungwon Tombs, where you'll unravel Korea's royal history. One of the tombs can be entered to visit its interior.

Then head to the celestial heights of Cheomseungdae Observatory, constructed during the reign of Queen Seondeok (632–647) and one of the landmarks of Gyeongju.

Wolji Pond which bathes in the tranquil beauty of scenery, is a large walled pond with enchanting pavilions and an interesting history.

The attractions we are going to today are very close to each other, and they can be easily reached on foot.

 

Day 6  Gyeongju to Busan: Colourful Life Discovery.

This morning, we drive to Busan, which is about 80 kilometers away from Gyeongju. On the half way, we first visit another UNESCO World Heritage site, Tongdosa Temple, one of the seven mountain temples of Korean Buddhism. It is a Buddhist temple without Buddha Shakyamuni statue.

Then, drive about 1.5 hours to the Taejongdae Cliffed Coast to enjoy a coastal walk and explore the natural rock formations and coastal caves. Nearby, stroll on the Songdo Cloud Trails and ride a cable car crossing the sea to take in more breathtaking ocean views.


In the afternoon, visit the Gamcheon Culture Village, often known as Busans Machu Picchu, transformed from a war refugee village into a hub of art and color. Meander through the charming streets filled with murals and sculptures, and don't forget to take photos with the iconic Little Prince statue.

Tips:

1. The village welcomes visitors all year round, but please be mindful of the fact that it is the living space of the local residents and follow the rules of conduct while in the village.

2. There are often cultural experiences such as handicraft making in the village, but reservations are required in advance.

 

Afterward, end your day in the bustling BIFF Square, the heart of Busan's film culture. Here you can explore it freely, enjoy street food, shop for unique souvenirs, and immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife.

 

Day 7  Busan : Romantic Coastline.

Let's start our day from Haedong Yonggungsa Temple by the seaside today. Its a unique seaside temple that perfectly blends spiritual purity with the beauty of nature. If the weather is just right, the whole family get up early and watch the sunrise over the Pacific here, which will be a truly wonderful morning.


Next, you can take a leisurely walk along the winding coastal path, enjoying the morning sea breeze with your family. After 1-2 kilometers, you can visit Bamboo Island Park. Then, take a car directly to Haeundae Green Railway in the Blue Line Park and take the seafront train for a special, romantic train ride along the coast.

Among the many attractions along the Busan coastline, the Oryukdo Skywalk at Yeongdongpo Beach is a must-visit destination for travelers seeking adventure and breathtaking views. Walk on the transparent glass floor and feel the thrill of walking in the air.


When night falls, climb up to the Hwangnyeongsan Mountain Observatory in the city to enjoy the city skyline illuminated by the shimmering skyscrapers and iconic Gwangan Bridge. Then, head to the heart of Busan's nightlife, Gwangan Beach, to fully embrace Busan's vibrant nightlife.

 

Day 8  Leaving Busan, South Korea.

During this one-week journey, We passed through 3 major cities in South Korea, have visited 5 of South Korea's 13 UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as other important historical and cultural sites. We also have seen both civilization landmarks and coastal natural scenery, as well as local specialty markets.The itinerary is comprehensive and vibrant, and we are sure you will leave with a full heart.

 Leaving Busan back to Seoul today on the KTX takes more than 4 hours. Upon arrival, a private transfer awaits at Seoul Station, ready to take you to the Incheon Airport for your flight home.
