Wolyeong-gyo Bridge

The Wolyeong-gyo Bridge is the longest wooden pedestrian bridge in South Korea, stretching 387 meters. It is located on Andong Lake in Andong City, North Gyeongsang Province. The arched design of the bridge and the octagonal pavilion on it are the highlights of the moon reflection Bridge, resembling a crescent moon reflected in the lake, hence its name. Fountains gush out on both sides of the bridge, and the octagonal pavilion offers an excellent vantage point for visitors to enjoy the surrounding natural scenery to their heart's content.

Andong City built this bridge to commemorate a loving couple from the Joseon Dynasty, and there is a touching love story associated with it.
