Gyeonghuigung Palace, also known as Kyung Hee Palace, is located in the heart of Seoul, South Korea, to the southwest of Gyeongbokgung Palace and is quite close to it. It was a secondary palace of the late Joseon Dynasty and was once the residence of King Taejo, the founding monarch of the Joseon Dynasty.
The palace grounds feature several historical buildings such as Heungjeongjeon Hall and Heungwha Gate, and it is one of the five major palaces in Seoul. Compared to the more famous Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, it shares the same architectural style of its time but is much smaller in scale. In 1987, the site was transformed into a park, which now houses the Seoul Museum of Art and the Seoul Museum of History.
