Namsangol Hanok Village

Namsangol Hanok Village, located at the foot of Namsan Mountain in the heart of Seoul, covers an area of nearly 80,000 square meters. It features five traditional Korean houses (hanok) from the Joseon Dynasty that were carefully selected in Seoul, relocated and restored. The courtyards, ingeniously designed to blend with the natural scenery of Namsan Mountain, form a harmonious cultural space that is both charming and evocative.

These five hanok were built at different times and served various purposes, offering visitors a comprehensive understanding of traditional Korean architecture from the 19th to the early 20th century. It has become the fastest and most accurate place to experience the culture of hanok.

In addition to the display of hanok, the village also hosts a variety of interesting traditional Korean folk activities. Moreover, the Seoul Namsan Gugak Center, where one can enjoy traditional Korean music, is also a must-visit spot.
