It is a cluster of tombs for the kings and nobles of the Silla Dynasty (57 BC - 935 AD), covering an area of 120,000 square meters. Currently, there are 23 large ancient tombs in the park. If the underground ones that are not visible are included, the number exceeds 200. The most famous ones in Daereungwon are Cheonma Chong Tomb and Hwangnam Daechong tomb.

The Chomsongdae in Gyeongju is situated in the city center and was built in 634 AD. It is the oldest astronomical structure on the Korean Peninsula. The Chomsongdae is 9.17 meters high, with a stone base that is 5.35 meters on each side. It is composed of 362 stones, each about 30 centimeters in size, and has 27 layers.

Seokguram Grotto is made of natural rocks that have been polished and piled up. Its round roof is covered with soil, and the entire structure looks like a cave, hence its name. Inside the grotto is a statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, which was sculpted using Buddhist art techniques during the Unified Silla period in the 8th century. It was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List together with Bulguksa Temple in 1995.
