Jozankei Onsen

The Jozankei Onsen is located within the Shikotsu-Tōya National Park, about a 40-minute drive from Sapporo City. It is one of the largest hot spring resorts and a major tourist attraction in Hokkaido. Surrounded by mountains, the Teine Onsen is a breathtaking sight in October when the mountains are ablaze with autumn leaves. It is widely recognized as one of the best places in Hokkaido to enjoy the fall foliage. Not far from the Jozankei Onsen is the Sapporo Teine Ski Resort. On sunny days, you can enjoy a stunning panoramic view of Otaru City and the Sea of Japan from the top of the mountain.
