Mt.Okura Observatory

The Otaru-yama Ski Jumping Stadium was built in 1931 and served as the venue for the 1972 Winter Olympics. It still hosts various competitions today. At the top of the ski jump, there is a unique observation deck. By taking the chairlift, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Sapporo city and the Ishikari Plain. To the right and behind, you can see the "Miyano-mori Ski Jumping Stadium" where 70-meter ski jumping events are held.

The Otaru-yama Observation Deck in Sapporo is not only a great place to enjoy the beautiful scenery but also offers a variety of winter sports simulation experiences suitable for visitors of all ages. Here, you can try ski jumping, experience high-speed sliding, enjoy speed skating, participate in cross-country skiing competitions, and even become a hockey goalkeeper.
