Sapporo Beer Museum

The Sapporo Beer Garden was established in 1889 and is one of the most representative beer gardens in Sapporo. The ancient building's exterior walls are covered with lush green ivy. At the entrance of the hall, there is a symbol of Sapporo Beer: a red five-pointed star and two black bears surrounded by the German words "BIER GARTEN". This symbol can often be seen in the Sapporo Beer Garden.

On the first floor of the hall, you can taste various beers, including the "Pioneer beer" which perfectly recreates the taste of Sapporo Beer in its early days. You can also choose the unique ceramic cup beer available here. This special beer cannot be tasted elsewhere.

Next to the Sapporo Beer Garden is the Sapporo Beer Museum, which opened in December 2004. Here, you can learn about the history of Sapporo Beer, the brewing process, and even sample freshly made draft beer. The museum is open for free and can be visited freely.
