Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan

It takes only five minutes to walk from Osaka Minato Station on the Chuo Line to the Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Next to it are the Tenpozan Park, the Tenpozan Ferris Wheel and the Osaka Culturarium at Tempozan. On the opposite side of the coast is Universal Studios Japan.

Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is one of the largest aquariums in the world and is famous for its huge whale sharks. The whale sharks swim freely in a giant tank that is 9 meters deep, 34 meters long and holds 5,400 tons of water. After entering the aquarium, you can pass through a tunnel-shaped passage and take the escalator to the top floor, "Japanese Forest". Then, walk down the spiral ramp to visit the various tanks.
