The Peace Memorial Museum is located within the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and displays items left by the victims of the atomic bomb and related reference materials. The countless materials left by this tragic history tell visitors the importance of peace.
The Memorial Hall was designed by the renowned Japanese architect Kenzo Tange and is divided into the East Hall and the West Hall. The East Hall uses models, videos, photos, etc. to explain Hiroshima before and after the atomic bomb explosion to visitors. Entering the West Hall through the corridor connecting the two halls, one can see a large number of relics left after the explosion.
