Omotesando

Omotesando is located in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo. It was originally just a road leading to the front of Meiji Shrine for worship. Later, it expanded to the surrounding areas and became a birthplace of fashion. The main road stretches from the intersection of Omotesando to Aoyama Crossing (Omotesando Station), where many flagship stores of world-class brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada, Dior, and Dolce & Gabbana are concentrated, along with some unique designer stores.

This is one of the most famous shopping destinations in Tokyo and a gathering place for fashion and design art. The approximately 1-kilometer-long road is shaded by thick trees and is very pleasant. Many buildings with distinct shapes and different styles stand on both sides of the road, like an open-air architectural exhibition hall. The Omotesando Square designed by the renowned Japanese architect Tadao Ando is a landmark here.
